January Calligraphy Meeting Cancelled

Due to the threat of inclement weather we are preemptively cancelling our meeting for tomorrow. Please be safe this weekend! We will move the meeting to March, including book auction. If you can't wait until March to see us please join us at our first Calligraphy Jam of the year the third weekend of February at the Zionsville Public Library. If you're looking for a calligraphy prompt you could do worse than remembering the poet, Mary Oliver, who passed this week. Below is her poem The Storm:

The Storm

Now through the white orchard my little dog romps, breaking the new snow with wild feet. Running here running there, excited, hardly able to stop, he leaps, he spins until the white snow is written upon in large, exuberant letters, a long sentence, expressing the pleasures of the body in this world. Oh, I could not have said it better
