The Calligraphy Guild of Indiana
Flourishing Festival with Pat Blair
Registration Is Now Closed. We look forward to seeing all of you at the below dates!
As lace on fabric, flourishes can add life and the ‘finishing touch” to hand-lettering. Their beauty lies in their free, effortless grace. In this course, Master Penman and former White House Chief Calligrapher Pat Blair will teach us to add flourishes with letters and under names and addresses. We will also cover larger flourishes that can be used as borders as well as wedge (triangle) brush florals to complement the flourishing.
This will be an online workshop, with a total of 4 2-hour sessions. Handouts and a link to the ZOOM class will be e-mailed to each participant 2-3 days before class. If you are unable to attend a session, a recording will be available for 2 weeks after the session. Non-members are welcome.
