Pointed Pen Uncial Style with Bill Kemp via Zoom
This class will cover the different techniques developed by Mike Kecseg. Mike Kecseg has a great love for the pointed pen, which took him to bring the ancient script of Uncial into a more contemporary version. Uncial was commonly used between the 4th and 8th century, with a broad edge nib. It is still used today in many forms with a broad edge nib. Mike Kecseg brought the script into the pointed pen world. As with other scripts that Mike has developed, the instrument of source is with the oblique pen holder and pointed nib. This script only has 26 letters and will hopefully be very useful for you.
This class is for beginners and experienced pointed pen script writers. You may use a straight or oblique holder, whichever is more comfortable for you. The last part of the class, we hope to write a small quote or poem in using this new alphabet.
